THE BLOC is a collaborative event held in Cape Town, South Africa - Aimed at uniting audiences and artists from Africa and the Middle East through a shared love of Amapiano, Deep House, Afrobeat and Afrotech music, and amplifying Cape Town’s rich landscape of underground music culture.

In partnership with HOUSE OF YANOS (UAE), BROKE (SA),NEIGHBOURGOODS (SA) and more, The Bloc will inhabit the Mother City on 31 December 2024 for a full-scale showcase of a hyper-local culture capturing global attention. 

A multi-environment, multi-stage festival on the biggest date of the year, at Cape Town’s largest inner city venue - The Old Biscuit Mill, Cape Town.

Expect an all-day, all-night program populated with the performers, artists, tastemakers and brands from South Africa and Africa at large who are driving an international moment in culture. 

Leading up to the main event, we will be presenting a rich program of affiliate contributors and warmup events, showcasing the diverse urban landscape of platforms, venues and promotors who are pushing the culture at its source.
